Doreen Le May Madden has received a number of awards for Excellence in Lighting Design for her residential, restaurant, retail, and corporate interior and exterior projects around the world. Le May Madden is certified with the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions, and with the American Lighting Association, and holds a degree in Interior Design. Her diverse knowledge and 20 year background in the design and architectural industries enables her to provide a full service that includes exceptional lighting as well as interior design services for residential and commercial projects. These include interior design details, space planning, color consultation, furniture design, motorized curtains and shades, audio video design (through the Lux AV division at www.luxav.net), and lighting controls.

Doreen is a sustaining member of the IESNA and is also the past New England Section President of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America. Her active participation and affiliations in the New England design community include IES, Boston Society of Architects, ASID, Green Hotels Association, and the International Interior Design Association. Publications that have presented her work and interviews include, among others, Architectural Record Magazine, Boston Design Times, Residential Lighting, Audio/Video Interiors, Virginia Builders, Boston Home, New England Home, High Profile, New England Real Estate Journal, and This Old House Magazine. You may have seen her on the PBS television show “This Old House” for her unique lighting design for the Watertown, MA project. She has been presented in two design books: “Creating Curb Appeal” and “Perspectives on Design New England” as a leading lighting and interior designer.
