This Boston Back Bay residence’s major renovation’s design intent was to keep the significant original architectural details and create flawlessly harmonizing new characteristic details. Lighting was integrated in key areas for dramatic accent, while providing ambient lighting for the space, such as in the cove and above original glass “faux” skylights. Decorative fixtures were chosen to replicate the lighting of the building’s era. Scene lighting controls, strategically placed so to be hidden from view, provide modern conveniences in a traditional setting.
